XIII Minutes is an American alternative metal and metalcore band from Tulsa, Oklahoma, formed in late 2015. The band's name is inspired by the spiritual significance of the number thirteen, symbolizing spiritual fitness, great blessing, and new life. Their music blends traditional metal elements with post-hardcore and nu-metal, creating a unique sound that transcends genre definitions. XIII Minutes aims to infuse their music with dichotomies like brutality and harmony, commercial and underground, and old and new. The band has undergone some lineup changes over the years. Currently, Jerrod Cunningham is the lead vocalist, with John Watson on guitar and backing vocals, Preston Bell on bass and backing vocals, and Jamie Kucinski on drums. XIII Minutes has released several singles and an album, "Obsessed," in 2019, which received high reviews. After a brief hiatus, the band returned in 2022 and is now signed with NRT Music.
